Relocating to the Okanagan

Why I can help you with

Relocating to the Okanagan

After experiencing the incredible wine country of the Okanagan, I planted my roots in the vineyards of Naramata and never looked back. I fell in love with the Okanagan during the summers I spent here as a child and became involved in the ever-growing wine industry. Going from living in a major city to living in a vineyard is the best decision I have ever made, and there is no going back!

Living in the Okanagan has given me an inside look at the people who make up our communities, how they support each other, and the available opportunities to our residents. Being a community expert gives me the chance to help others, like you, find the right place to call home. Everyone has a different lifestyle – different needs and wants – and luckily, the Okanagan is a place that has it all!

Let's Tour the Okanagan!

We can talk about the Okanagan all day (and I encourage you to ask me as many questions as possible!), but one of the best ways I can help you make your best relocating decision is to get our boots on the ground and go exploring. Why the Okanagan?

This isn’t a dream! You can really live in the Okanagan and partake in this incredible lifestyle. With some of the best weather all year round, rolling hills filled with orchards and vineyards, the peace and quiet is a warm welcome – it’s easy to see why so many people want to move to the Okanagan Valley.

Scenery

Looking out over the lake from views like Little Tunnel and Giant’s Head gives you a great look at all of the South Okanagan. Sunshine and long summer days, stretched out over our lakes and vineyards, are what the Okanagan is all about. One comment I hear quite a bit is that it’s not as humid as Vancouver and not as dry as Calgary. Escape the cold, long winters in Calgary. Escape the wet, rainy seasons in Vancouver.

Hiking, skiing, biking, boating, jet skis, rock climbing, golfing, wine touring… all for you to explore! There is even a race track near Oliver called Area 27! Apex Mountain has all of your snow for the winter, and the famous Big White Resort is only a short drive away.

Honestly, the grass is still green here in the winters; what else do you need to hear?!

Lake

Two for the price of one, living in the South Okanagan means you get to enjoy two gorgeous lakes! Penticton is smack dab in the middle of the two, with beaches bordering each side. There is no shortage of space to set up your towels and cooler for a full day in the sun.

Both lakes are perfect for boating and cruising the coastline with family and friends. There is plenty of room to throw on a pair of skis or a wakeboard. Maybe the kids go for a tube ride, or just listen to music and sun-tan in the middle of the lake.

Wine!

I don’t know if you heard - wineries and vineyards are a common sight in any part of the Okanagan! Rejoice! Simply put, wine is a massive contributor to the local economy and something that our community is very proud of. Recognized as one of the best wine regions in Canada and home to dozens of wineries, wine makes the South Okanagan an exceptional place to live.

Aside from wineries, there are many breweries, cideries, and distillers making their name in the community.

If you were to ask our homeowners if they would rather live in the Okanagan or any other place in Canada, they would often choose the Okanagan. There is something special about the South Okanagan for everyone – wine, lakes, fresh fruit, and long summers.

Our communities are a happy, growing collection of people from all walks of life. Spend less time in traffic and more time with your family and friends! Active lifestyles, wining, dining, healthcare, careers, and everything in between make the South Okanagan an excellent place for you to live.
