Home to some of the best wineries that the Okanagan Valley has to offer, Oliver is a beautiful small town in a corridor between OK Falls and Osoyoos.
Orchards, vineyards, rolling hillsides, lakes – Oliver has everything for the modern outdoorsman.
What can be said at this point? You can find some of the best wines in all of Canada in the Okanagan Valley, no matter where you go. Oliver is no exception to this rule. Tinhorn Creek Vineyards, Burrowing Owl Estate Winery, Maverick Estate Winery, Black Hills Estate Winery, and more can be found in this thin strip between OK Falls and Osoyoos.
District Wine Village
If you don’t know about the District Wine Village yet, you are in for a real treat. 13 wineries, 1 brewery, 1 distillery, and an eatery combine to make this an all-star tourist stop. It doesn’t stop there; countless great events are hosted at the Wine Village each year and this is very much a budding establishment so we’re all eager to see where it goes from here!
Fresh fruit stands full of cherries and all kinds of delights can be found in Oliver! Sunview Market, Valley Farms Fruit Stand, and Oliver Garden and Fruit Market will have all of your fresh fruit needs covered.
Parks & Amenities
Sometimes it feels like Oliver is just a small town sandwiched in between other small towns, but you would be surprised at the amount of activity there is going on. Skate parks, sports and playing fields, walking/hiking trails, tennis courts, lawn bowling, and a great waterpark for kids can all be found here!
Residents know that Osoyoos, OK Falls, and Penticton can keep their busy beaches - Tuc-el-Nuit Lake is a quiet slice of summer heaven. Little beach, sandy area, plenty of grass, a playground, and everything you need for a big day out in the Okanagan sun.
No matter where you go in the Okanagan Valley, it really is just a giant playground. Enjoy a round or two from a couple of Oliver’s finest courses: Nk’Mip Canyon Desert Golf Course, and Fairview Mountain are great choices!
