Naramata

You can feel it when you breathe in the air, when you walk through the vines, or as you look out across Lake Okanagan. Something special is happening in Naramata.

This small slice of the Okanagan Valley miraculously finds itself on center-stage in the world of wine and is touted as one of the most desirable locations to live in Canada. Whether you’re with friends, family, or our beloved pets, you can always find a perfect way to enjoy Naramata.

Naramata has something for everyone with no shorter outdoor activities, wineries, hiking trails, and a cozy town to explore.

As a resident of Naramata, I can tell you with absolute certainty that this place has a unique quality you cannot find anywhere else. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else, and I count myself lucky to be a part of something so special.

Living amongst the rolling vineyards and orchards, gazing out peacefully across the lake, watching the wildlife pass by my window… there is nothing quite like it.

Why Naramata?

KVR Trail

The Kettle Valley Railroad Trail is a hot spot for locals to stretch their feet, take the dogs for a walk, and take a look out high-up over Naramata. With views spanning from Skaha Lake all the way to Peachland, the KVR Trail is something our residents cherish in their day-to-day lives!

A little over 20km, you can travel to Kelowna or Penticton, stop in at your favorite winery, or take a short break to enjoy the scenery and snap a photo for your friends. One of the most popular stops along the trail, Little Tunnel is the perfect scenic spot for a picnic with family and friends.

Three Blind Mice Trails

Besides the KVR Trail, there are several other hiking trails within the area to satisfy our outdoor enthusiasts. The Three Blind Mice area boasts some of the gorgeous greenery, rock bluffs, and local wildlife that create a beautiful backdrop to a perfect Okanagan day.

Some of our favorites are: Poplar Grove, La Frenz, Little Engine, Upper Bench, Roche, and Hillside!

Restaurants

Some of the wineries have incredible restaurants that are sure to give you the ultimate BC Winery Experience. World-renowned chefs take the passion of Okanagan wine, local produce, and pair it with a level of service that makes for a meal you won’t soon forget.

The Restaurant at Poplar Grove, The Bistro at Hillside, and the Naramata Inn. are a few of our top picks!

Ciders & Distilleries

You might be surprised to learn that aside from some of the best wineries in Canada, the Naramata Bench features a few distilleries and cider producers that are well worth a trip.

With the likes of Legends Distilling and Maple Leaf Spirits, you’ll be dreaming of delicious cocktails in no time. And let’s not forget to mention Creek & Gully Cider and La Petite Abeille Cider, who continue to bring the best fruits of the Naramata Bench to the table in a lip-smacking fashion.

Cheese

We can’t talk about wine without trying to squeeze in a bit of cheese action! Luckily, a couple of great creameries are sure to pair with some of our exceptional Okanagan wines.
